Vizlib Challenge: A Day Within a Dataset Winners

Vizlib Challenge: A Day Within a Dataset Winners

We recently concluded the first Vizlib ‘A Day Within a Dataset’ challenge and would like to thank all of the wonderful partners who participated.

Starting in July and spanning three months, we sent out video tutorials to partners every 15 days. At the end of the campaign, partners were invited to take part in the challenge and create their best Qlik + Vizlib dashboards.

It was not easy deciding on the winners, but we managed to choose who deserved the winning badges.

Here they are, the 4 winners of the Day in a Dataset challenge:

Angelika Klidas from Bitmetric – Most Creative

We awarded Angelika with the Most Creative badge for her Candy Time app. She created a sweet app with the use of Vizlib’s Library & Self-Service products for Qlik Sense.

Here is what Angelika had to say about her submission:

Working on the “candy” app was first of all fun. My son Nikay helped me to think about the questions that he wanted to know and I built them for him. It was loads of fun, to sit with him and work on that first part looking at the data set and creating the first visualizations.

You can see Angelika’s Candy Time app in our Demo Gallery here.

Frederic Visser from At Once – Most Interactive

Frederic was awarded the Most Interactive badge for his Beer app. With this refreshing app, users can keep track of all of the delicious beers they have tasted!

This is what Frederic said about the dataset tutorials:

The Day Within a Dataset tutorials have given me a clear and detailed technical overview of some important Vizlib extensions. I now have a better technical understanding of the features and feel more comfortable using them with our Vizlib customers.

Take a look at Frederic’s Beer app in our Demo Gallery here.

Marco Zampieri from Data Synapsi Srl – Most Innovative

Choosing the Most Innovative app was incredibly difficult, which is why we decided to award it twice! Marco is the first recipient for showing phenomenal talent in creating his ‘Reorder Inventory Optimization’ app using Vizlib Writeback Table and Vizlib Library.

Marco found the video series helped to greatly expand his knowledge of Vizlib:

This experience has helped our company expand the use of Qlik Sense to help our customers in some areas where custom development software is often needed, combining the power of Qlik with the flexibility and extreme configurability of Vizlib in one a result that allows customers to obtain unique, original solutions in very low times and costs.

Umberto Ligorio from iBiC – Most Innovative

Finally, we have Umberto Ligorio – the second recipient of the Most Innovative badge. He showcased incredible ingenuity with his submission!

Umberto says that Vizlib helped change the way that Qlik Sense is used:

Vizlib helped us a lot on a challenging Qlik Sense project because our customer was looking for outstanding visualisations they simply didn’t find with the standard objects available. Using Vizlib we were able to redefine the Qlik Sense user experience.

Again, thank you to all of the participants and we can’t wait to see what other fantastic apps you come up with!
