Every entrepreneur knows how true the above statement is. At some point, just the idea of having a business won’t guarantee success – it has to be planned for. Planning can be frustrating, especially if you just want to get your product or service out into the world. But what if planning wasn’t a hassle?
Let’s be honest, project planning isn’t for everyone. If it was, then you wouldn’t be reading this, right? Finding the right software, scoping projects, organising meetings, and setting numerous deadlines can be exceptionally tricky. And getting a complete overview of your project isn’t always easy, either.
That’s where Vizlib Gantt for Qlik Sense comes in. It’s a no-code, intuitive project planning solution aimed at making your business life easier! So, let’s dive in.
Vizlib Gantt is a project management tool for Qlik Sense that helps users visualise a list of activities against time. The vertical axis represents the list of project activities, while the horizontal displays time to various degrees. All of the activities are represented by the horizontal bar and the length or due date of the projects on this plane.
It provides greater clarity about what needs to be done and by when. How? Team members can easily see every timeline-based aspect of a chart and easily see milestones and deadlines they need to be aware of. It also provides a bird’s eye view for the whole team to ensure smooth collaboration.
As any manager can tell you, the most difficult part of a project is often getting started. That’s why we’ve made Vizlib Gantt as easy to use as possible. With the help of the built-in Wizard, you can have your Gantt up and running within 60 seconds! And the best part? You don’t need to be a project management guru to create this practical chart.
Any member of your team can select dummy data to populate the Gantt chart before you commit to anything – this helps you familiarise yourself with the Gantt system as a whole. It also helps in cutting down training time so that your team can jump right into their specific deliverables.
To create your 1st Vizlib Gantt Chart:
1. Get your IT department to help set up Qlik Sense and install Vizlib’s value-added products.
2. Open a new Qlik dashboard.
3. Select Vizlib Gantt from the custom objects in the left panel and drag and drop it onto your sheet.
4. Click Open Wizard.
5. Then select either the Templates option for quick Gantt styling or the Start Wizard button, for hassle-free chart setup.
Since all Vizlib products are made with no-code functionality in mind, anyone in the company can use them, create sandboxes, customise charts, or implement new project changes.
With Gantt’s multi-line event feature, it’s easier than ever to see your project timelines and declutter data. It’s one of the best ways to get rid of spreadsheet analysis paralysis! After all, humans are visual creatures and it’s always easier to look at a chart than a bunch of overlapping text.
The sight of multiple timelines can be intimidating, especially if you have half a dozen projects on the go. With the Vizlib Gantt cascading option, you can now see a timeline per row to help declutter your projects, similar to traditional project management tools.
You can smoothly manage your projects and workflows with Vizlib. We have a host of value-added solutions to supercharge your Qlik dashboards.
Our most popular product, Vizlib Library, is a collection of 25 charts and dashboarding components that empower users to create customised, compelling dataviz.
You can also keep the data conversation flowing by combining Vizlib Gantt with the writeback capabilities of Vizlib Collaboration. Project team members can input and edit data, make comments and collaborate directly in Qlik Sense to keep the project moving, on time and within budget!
