Vizlib by the numbers: our 2022 product story told through data

2023 is just around the corner, but before we march ahead, we thought we’d look back on the year that’s just passed. At Vizlib we’re all about data, and so it’s only right that we reflect on some of our own! In this blog, we’ll discuss some of the most exciting Vizlib product data of 2022 – including the numbers behind our most highly-requested features, innovative tools, and brand new educational resources.

171 new features added across Vizlib’s solutions

With a keen focus on the future, it’s no surprise that we delivered so many new features across our product catalogue. Vizlib Library saw the most added features – 85, to be exact – including the recent addition of Vizlib Actions, which lets you stack actions and execute complex processes, without lifting a finger.

Coming in joint-second was VizLib Collaboration and Vizlib Self-Service, where users saw 34 improvements to each product! In Vizlib Collaboration we have improved functionality that allows multiple users to writeback at the same time, and added visual features like freeze columns with intuitive Excel-style design. Vizlib Self-Service now includes new customisation options for Vizlib Tiles and the option to export data in new formats  on Qlik SaaS. But that’s just the start of it – have a look at our monthly round-up videos on YouTube for a more in-depth understanding of new features.

7 months of VizLab, our data visualization learning platform

In May this year, we launched the VizLab! This eLearning platform helps you create engaging and powerful dataviz content. It includes courses for everyone – from entry-level users to dataviz experts – with short interactive videos that help you and your team get the most out of Vizlib (and Astrato) products. Also, each completed course comes with an accredited badge that you can add to your LinkedIn profile and promote on social media.

Now, into the data! Since its launch, VizLab has supported the learning of almost 1000 users, who have earned a combined total of 519 learning badges. Vizlib Essentials was the most popular course, with over 400 people proudly sharing their well-earned badge on LinkedIn! We hope you’ve had the chance to check it out, and we’ve got even more content planned for 2023.

400+ updates in response to customer feedback

At Vizlib, our customers are the greatest drivers of product innovation, and listening to their needs is always at the core of our most exciting features and updates. This year, following input and feedback directly from our customers, we rolled out a total of 468 product updates, with Vizlib Library sitting at the top of the podium (269), followed by Vizlib Collaboration (85), and Vizlib Self-Service (77).

Digging deeper into the data, we had a look at the progress we’ve made on individual extensions. Our Writeback (part of the Vizlib Collaboration product suite) and Custom Report (part of the Vizlib Self-Service product suite) extensions saw the greatest evolution – with almost 100 updates between them.

At Vizlib, we build powerful value-added products for Qlik Sense, to help you uncover meaningful insights faster than ever before. Whether it be a new product launch or a tweak to an extension, we’re committed to innovating for our customers. We hope that you’ve enjoyed looking back on how our products have grown over the past year – stay tuned for 2023!
